seconded by Phil Gorman (PG) and passed unanimously.
Brian
White (BW) – Not much new, we’re over budget on members, both Associate
and Regular. We paid the Maritime Museum $150 in honor of Dave McDowell.
Transferred the money to pay the January 2005 interest payment.
Leeann Trombley (LT) – NAs Promotion
Talked
to Matt Spiegel and the Turtle will open on Thursday and Saturday nights for
dinner. Will talk more with Matt after Mayor’s Cup.
LT,
Sarah Tucker (ST), Ed Trombley (ET), and BW will meet to discuss options for
feeding and providing drink for NAs separately.
BW
motioned to provide $125 for parties (instead of $100) from NAs budget. Brian
Dowling (BD) seconded, and the motion passed.
John
Trombley (JT) – The Naked Turtle is very excited about working with us on
the NAs.
Kjell
Dahlen (KD) asked for the use of VSC’s Committee Boat for setting the
starting line at the Mayor’s Cup. The Board felt that it was understood that
the Committee Boat was available for the use of AM Rotary for the Mayor’s
Cup.
ET
and JT will run the Protest Committee.
Safety.
We
have a Coast Guard Boat coming over for the event. Also a Sheriff’s Patrol
boat, and four or five Rotary Boats. All will monitor Channel 80.
BBQ
and Awards will be at 6:30.
Phil
Gorman (PG) – OD assignments are working well – people are showing up.
Scoring Discussion
What
does ‘Entered in Series’ mean? Member of club or a series entry?
Could
change the outcome of the series at the end of the season.
DD
– Peter Coleman has not joined, but is racing, when he joins, should we
score him retrospectively…
DD
– Begs the question – Why pay on time?
PG
– One can join later and still get scored. We assume no one will take
advantage of the vagaries of sportsmanship.
Bob
Bunnell (BB) – This should be a topic for the Race Committee meeting.
DD
– Correct.
Chris
Duley (CD) looking at mounting air horn and wind speed indicator on a July 8
work night.
BB
– get Andy Sajor or Gene Grafals for electrical help.
PG
– Need to fix compass.
Starboard
engine is running rough – authorize CD to get estimate on fixing it.
Ed
Trombley (ET) – need to make sure everything falls into place.

ET
– We joined Northeast Sailing Association. They invited our Junior Team to
race – we don’t have one, so I said thanks anyway.
DI
reported that we had a good picnic after the Commodore’s Cup.
Next
will be a BBQ after the Mayor’s Cup.
