Meeting opened by Commodore Duley.

Eisinger Cup will be 2 races on 9/25

McDowell Cup will be run on the afternoon of the Fall Classic 9/26

Looking for Race Committee for the Eisinger Cup.

Brian W to update website, Phil to send out email to the general membership making the announcement.

Discussion:   Soling race format change to one longer race since daylight is getting shorter.  After several minutes of discussion it is agreed to go with a longer one race format for the next two nights. 

Committee Boat Report: 

Work has been done to starboard engine, new plugs, etc. and it appears to be running much better.

Electrical system needed repair approx $50+-.  Instruments all work but aux gas tank.   Starboard tach also needs repair (estimate $250) wait until next year. 

Why burning so much oil?

Don requested a list of repairs needed for winter work order.  Primary goal is to get through the NA’s.   Long term goal is a trailer.

Discussion regarding the benefits…Several volunteers and Ed to search for potential trailer and get back to the Exec board.

Treasurer’s report.

            No report.  All is status quo.

            Invoice submitted and paid for Soling NA t shirt order.

Awards.

1)      Marina

a.       Everything is ready.  Bob B. excellent rapport.

2)      Social

a.       Lianne has two dinners set  Thurs & Sat.  Cost (tip included) is $40 per person for both dinners.  Turtle will be open all weekend.

3)      Promotion

a.       Tim McCormick has been busy. 

-Has WIZN giving verbal boost, we need to hang their sign in race registration tent.

- Has 1,2,3 places award from APS,  we need to hang their sign in race registration tent.

-Is working Condo pharmacy and Dunkin Donut’s for donations.

4)      Race Committee

a.       Ed and Phil will continue working this.   Estimate need 8 people per day to work the event.  Phil is setting up a sign up sheet to make sure this is complete.  Ed is happy with professional from Annapolis, MD. 

Discussion regarding a hailing system (bullhorn) to announce over early, etc.  Ty offered to check into an on board system.  Chris Lanigan guesses $150+- to modify.  They will look into the feasibility to be completed prior to NA’s.

5)      Housing

a.       Hotel rooms are let go….Chris L has placed most comers, some are still unknown….it is assumed they have made arrangements.

Social Committee

            Dan report.

Fall Banquet is set 11/6 at Elk’s Club.  Commodore requested Dan to see if he can move it to 11/13.  Dan to check.

Rating Committee

Mike Hagadorn with Tartan Pride 270 requested a PHRF rating and submitted form.  Brian D is working on it…set with a provisional of 132.

Protest Committee

            Solved a scoring redress issue.  No other protests.

Community Events.

            Chris Duley was called away from the meeting.  No report.

Publicity Report

            Bill Brockway is ill, not in attendance. No report.

Nominating Committee

            Comprised of Bob Smith, Kjell Dahlen, and Don Duley.  Meeting independently.

New Business.

US Sailing has a questionnaire, should BW fill it out.  No as the season is over and the board will be changing next season.

Ed:  Wants to plant seed for feedback on regatta, and direction of Club after this race.
