Executive Committee Meeting Minutes

8/22/05 – Inn at Smithfield

Members in attendance:  Brian Dowling, Dan Inhelder, Brian White, Phil Gorman, Amber Gorman

Meeting called to order at 7pm

Minutes from May Meeting approved.

Secretary’s Report

Have attempted to gather e-mails, have had two responses from skippers and two individual responses.

Treasurer’s Report

Finances are in good shape.  Brian White is research establishing credit.  Discussed potential winter fundraiser at the Lake Placid Pub and Brewery.

Race Committee

Committee Boat is running well.  Chris is aware of the running light that needs to be fixed.  Conversations held about length of soling races.  Race committee will recommend that one race is ran that is 45min – 1 hours in length. 

Committee Boat –

Light needs to be fixed.  It has been very economical on gas this year in regards to only one engine.

Social Events

Discussion held on potential sites for the fall banquet.  Naked Turtle Cup on Sunday, August 28^th. Dan to find out where and if awards are being held and let VSC club members know.]

New Business

Phil working to establish nominating committee, Phil would like to have the committee consist of Don Duley, Craig Meyerson and Eddie Trombley if they will accept the task.

Next meeting Monday Sept. 26^th, at 7pm at the Inn at Smithfield.
