Approval of minutes:
January 9, 2006 meeting minutes were approved with edits. (Motion by White, seconded by Kretser, unanimous vote)
Treasurer's Report:
The 2006 budget created by Gwenal Queguiner was approved with edits. (Motion by White, seconded by Kretser, unanimous vote)
Race Committee business:
Schedule: The draft schedule prepared by Craig Meyerson, and edited by Ty Kretser will be used for the 2006 season. The final version will be completed by the next executive meeting.
Book : The draft of the 2006 NOR that was submitted by Ty Kretser was approved with edits. (Motion by White, seconded by Gorman, unanimous vote)
Permanent Race committee: The offer from the (name) to become permanent OD's for Tuesday night one-design racing has been accepted. The VSC OD's currently scheduled for Tuesday night OD duty shall still be required to participated until such a time that the (names) are properly trained. VSC OD's scheduled for Tuesday nights shall eventually be required to participate only in the event that the permanent OD's are absent.

Soling business
ECC/US Championships, combined with Mayor Cup week : The ECC/US Championships will not be offered during Mayor's Cup week. Instead, Ed Trombley will contact the Soling class representatives and offer a two-day regatta to be held in lieu of the Lake Champlain Soling Championships in September.

· Rating Committee: It appears that LCPHRF has been inactive this winter. VSC members are required to complete the LCPHRF applications in the usual manner and submit them to the Rating Committee chairperson before the start of the 2006 racing season. The applications will be transferred to t

· Protest Committee
Membership : Ed Trombley reported that the members of the protest committee are E. Trombley, J. Trombley, K. Dahlen, B. Dowling, C. Lanigan, P. Gorman.
· Social Events
Winter Party Feb 25 at the Lake Placid Pub and Brewery has been organized by Amber Gorman.
A fun race has been scheduled for August 6th, which is a PHRF Sunday Series make-up day. If a make-up race is not required on that day, the club will run a fun race that does not count in any series scoring. The race is an opportunity for crew to try new jobs and for friends and family to participate in sailing. A raft up picnic will take place near Valcour after the fun race.

Scholarships to CBCBC : The VSC will purchase one scholarship to the CBCBC at $175. Amy Jordan has coordinated scholarship hopefuls with the Big Buddy program at JCEO. The Big Buddy administrators will select a youth from the program to receive the scholarship on behalf of VSC.
