Committee Reports
A. Treasurer’s Report: Brian White
· Sponsorship: Club is attempting one last push to get sponsorships for the Race Book: Amy will approach Snug and Dana’s; Phil = Treadwell Bay and George Hubbel; Craig = Mooney Bay. Deadline: 1 week.
B. Commodore’s Report: Brian White
· Book and schedule: Ty is finished with the book – Brian will take care of printing.
· Race Boat: May need some repairs. Brian will get with Chris Duley and Dave Bashaw to ensure the race boat is in the water by May 13th.
· Soling Business: Ed Trombley
- US Championship Sept/Oct 2006: The Lake Champlain Soling Champs is scheduled to run concurrently with the US Soling Championships. Dates will be Sept 29,30, 1 (Oct).The only fee to enter is the US Soling Association fees. Those are being collected by VSC and will be forwarded on to USSA.
- First soling race is Tuesday May 16th. Amy will send a club email to remind sailors USSA memberships need to be paid prior to racing.
· PHRF Business:
- Lake Champlain Race Week: Craig Myerson revisited the idea of VSC sponsoring
Prizes and promotion of Race Week. Craig agreed to take care of the NOR for the races but asked the club to cover the cost of prizes and marketing costs.
- JAM Class: No report
C. Rating Committee: Ty reported for John Pytlak who attended the lake wide rating meeting. Summary: if boats have not had alterations, no new forms are required. They are not planning to adopt any changes this season.
D. Protest Committee: No Report
E. Social Chair: Amber Gorman
- Spring Banquet. Saturday May 6th. Dana’s Rusty Anchor has agreed to host the event again. The cost will be $22 per person. RSVP to Amber by Monday, May 1st.

Old Business:
· Scholarships to CBCBC: Amy Jordan
-Follow up interest letter will be sent next week to JCEO’s Big Buddy children. So far only one response has been received.

New Business:
·
Marina Parking: The
“Clam Shack” is changing over to Clare and Carl’s. Please don’t park in
the spaces along the waterfront on the north side of the Clam Shack (in the
paved parking lot), as they are reserved for restaurant guests.
·
Display Board: Requires
minimal repairs. Amy will contact Kristen Larkin to get her started.
·
Member at Large:
Guy Hausrath agreed to be replaced by someone able to participate more
fully in the club meetings. Amy will send an email to the club addressing the
need to fill the position.
·
After the Committee Boat
is in the water, Ty will work with the Wagoner’s on docking and driving the
boat. Ty will also contact the club for a pre race season chalk talk regarding
racing rules.
