1. Approval of March 21 and April 17 Minutes:

• Amend May 15th: VSC will cover the current costs accrued by C. Meyerson for LCRW. No additional funds are available at this time.

• Amend May 15^th: Minutes should reflect the discussion held regarding VSC purchasing land for a clubhouse. It was unanimously agreed that VSC is not in a position to move in this direction at this time.

2. Committee Reports

A. Treasurer’s Report: Brian White for Q

• Continued encouragement for $50 memberships is necessary

• Membership Status: Low on membership. 17 Paid Full Members, 22 expected

• Race Book sponsors have not yet paid. Phil will follow up.

2. Race Committee: Ty Kretser

• RC Boat needs a new battery. Once installed, we need to make sure the battery it is started on is the one the boat is run on (check with Ty for clarification). Atomic clock has been replaced.

• Soling Business: Ty Kretser

• US Championship Sept/Oct 2006: Expecting 3-4 visiting boats at this time. Still recruiting speakers for chalk talk sessions.

• PHRF Business: Ty Kretser

• If PHRF scheduled OD’s don’t show up, volunteers will be sought first, then a random selection of 2 qualified crew members (1 from each of two boats) will be asked to OD. To prevent implementation, please be aware of your OD obligations and help keep the current schedule intact.

• Lake Champlain Race Week: Amber will work with Craig on getting trophies ready for the races.

3. Rating Committee: 

• John is still working on the ratings. He expects to have them soon.

4. Protest Committee: No Report

5. Social Chair: Amber

   • Next Event: August 6^th, Sunday Raft-up with Family & Friends.

   • Idea for Fall Banquet: Send invitations to skippers and crew who participate in a VSC race (i.e. Endo’s Crew)

3. Old Business:

• Scholarships to CBCBC: Amy Jordan: JCEO has identified a candidate. Amy will work with JCEO to get him enrolled in the program.

4. New Business:

• Promoting the club: Amy reported on progress for booth during LC. Race Week. The Naked Turtle granted permission, and Amy and Ty have agreed to take care of the booth from 5pm-7pm on Friday before the Mayor’s Cup. CBCBC will have a boat and a representative/information available. The display board will have general PHRF/Soling information, pictures & information about racing as well as a contact sheet for those interested in sailing. Volunteers are welcome!
