The minutes of the April meeting were corrected and approved. The marine insurance payment was $566.
Treasurer report
Gwen gave us an update on the budget. He was authorized to make payments due , buy gas for the committee boat and fund race marks as necessary. We’re still awaiting sponsorship moneys for LCRW and the race book.
Race committee.
Ty brought us up to date on the races/schedule. The first race scheduled for 5/26. Solings may be brought to the marina, tho parking space is still limited. Hopefully the dock and hoist will be ready for the season. The breakwater is still under water, and PHRF boats may need to use moorings until the dock area is safe. Ty, with the help of a few members will launch the committee boat soon and place the race marks appropriately.
The Wagners have decided not to run the soling races, therefore, the published list of race committees will be used.
We discussed possibilities of increasing membership. It was suggested that we encourage a cruising class by talking up our club with local boat owners, especially those at the marina.
Rating committee
Craig brought his appeal to the rating committee, stating that his boat was not rated correctly under the current bylaws. A further discussion was tabled until after our exec meeting.

Social committee
Amy updated us on the response to the spring party at Olive Ridley’s on Friday the 18th. We hope to have all members pay their dues. There will be shirts available for sale, and the handbook should be ready.
We need to check into our tax-exempt status. Bob Bunnell will look into this.
The seminars given by Mike Parsons were well received. We feel that next year it could expand to include beginning concepts, and progress to more advanced info. Ty volunteered to help with the beginning level of racing.
New Business
Amy suggested the VSC sailing scholarship. We all agreed that it is a great idea, and will look at it further after all our dues and money are budgeted. It was suggested to encourage donations from the members to help fund it.
