J.P. Turgeon, Andy Sajor, Don Duley, Dee Surber, Bruce Gugliotti, Kjell Dahlen,
and Brian White.
i.-Brian White and Kjell Dahlen have agreed to remain fleet captains for the 2010
VSC season.
ii.-Brian would like to move up the Lake Champlain Soling Championships
to the week of September 18th, and 19th.
iii.- Soling races will continue to be held weekly on Tuesdays as well as PHRF races to
continue on Wednesdays.
iv.-Fleet captains will meet with skippers before races using the soling hoist as the
common meeting area. Fleet captains will decide to cancel races at that point due to
no wind or inclement weather. Once races have begun, the O.D. will determine
whether races will continue, be shortened, or stopped due to no wind or inclement
weather.
v.-Five solings expected to race in the soling fleet this season.
vi.-Six boats expected to sail in PHRF spinnaker class this season with two to four white
sails in the JAM fleet. A first 34.7 sailor, Pierre Cote (“A” dock) will join the PHRF this
season.
vii.-JAM fleet will have a start time five minutes after the spin PHRF start.
viii.-Four LCYC races neighboring clubs compete in together each year. J.P. encourages
any sailors to visit other clubs when possible for races to increase exposure to other
Lake Champlain sailing clubs.
ix.-J.P. planning on meeting
with commodores from neighboring clubs to improve morale
between clubs.
J.P. looking into acquiring a Zodiac chase boat from Gonyo Marina. Boat will need a
motor and is undergoing minor repairs at Gonyo Marina. J.P. will have further
information at the next VSC monthly meeting. Boat could be used on light wind race
nights, as well as a chase boat
to move marks during races.

account. All 2009 bills have been
paid. Don will register
committee boat with NYS for 3
year registration for the amount of $57.50.
The following
VSC members are paid for 2010 season: J.P. Turgeon, Andy Sajor, Don Duley, Mike
Parsons, Peter Hall, Chuck Surber, and Dee Surber. Motion for VSC to pay U.S. Sailing
fee of $97.50 per LCYC request, with MBBC and LCYC rotating fees in the future. Motion
approved 5/0.
i.-Andy reports race marks are in good shape, but is expecting to replace rope with anchor
chain. Committee boat trailer at Eddie Trombley’s. Discussion of selling trailer to
salvage company for scrap metal due to its present condition.
ii.-Tentative schedule in place for 2010 VSC season.
iii.-Meeting with officers from CCC regatta to discuss plans for Clinton Regatta. More
details to follow at future meetings.
iv.-Craig Meyerson has sent a proposal for a new course for PHRF races. Course would
be favorable for south winds.
v.-Andy looking for non-sailing volunteers to run races during VSC season.
i.- Brian Dowling has reported members for LCYC.

ii.-Brian working on a new proposed course for the Omnium Race possibly toward Point
Au Roche. More discussion and details to follow at future meetings.
Tim McCormick unable to attend meeting.
i.-Kjell Dahlen has approved use of his home for winter party. A pot luck dinner has been
discussed. Tom from J.P.’s crew will sponsor wine and vodka for the dinner. Kjell will
provide beer for the party. Any other spirits will be brought by members themselves.
March 13th is the day chosen for the function. Andy will be available for skippers and
crew to sign up for O.D. duty, as well as accepting dues for the 2010 season.
ii.-Eddie Trombley has agreed to hold a “sail measuring party.” Any sailors who have
sails to be measured are encouraged to bring them on the date to follow. Members
who sail races with unmeasured sails may have protests made against them during races.
May 15th is the proposed date of the party with May 22nd as the rain date.
Motion for Bruce to purchase 15-12”x18” burgees from North Flags for approximately
$225.00. Approved 5/0. Burgees will be sold to skippers in the VSC club to fly on
their boats this sailing season.
Bruce will bring forth details for sailing shirts with VSC
insignia at future meetings.
