To increase participation and camaraderie amongst club members and between crew of club boats, everyone participating in VSC events are invited to be Officer of the Day (“O.D.”). O.D. is the referee for the assigned race. Those with prior experience and working knowledge of running a race may sign up as Primary O.D. Those with less or no experience may sign up as Secondary O.D. You may sign up for the same date as crew from a boat other than the one you crew.

VSC Regular (Full) Members, including JAM members, sponsoring or crewing a boat, are required to be O.D. during the season. Each regular member should sign up for or expect to be assigned up to three dates, although more dates may be assigned if necessary at the Race Committee Chairperson’s discretion. Regular Members are responsible to ensure two O.D.’s, one with experience, are scheduled for each date the member selects or is assigned.

Those wishing to volunteer or select their date(s) may sign up until May 1, 2013 by filling out electronic form below schedule. Thereafter, Regular Members will be assigned date(s) by the Race Committee Chairperson at the Chairperson’s discretion.
